King's Legacy
By the time of Martin Luther King Jr's death, the Civil Rights movement was constantly changing in order to protect African American's and other races' rights in America. Martin Luther King Jr organized and put forth the Civil Rights movement and the Voting Act of 1965. King's legacy for being a prominent catalyst for social change cannot be denied. Without Martin Luther King Jr., I believe social change would not have occurred. He played a vital role in the civil rights moment which helped support other movements like the Voting Act of 1965. His words will live on, inspiring others who see injustices and unfairness and go forth to change them for the better. It is hard to believe such change would occur as quickly as it did without Martin Luther King Jr driving it forward.
